It’s all taking place at 1 Jackson Street, Birkenhead, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful former gym and bathroom showroom venues the Wirral has to offer.
Located beside the historic Birkenhead Tunnel entrance, nestled between Jackson Street Scrap Yard and Birkenhead Van Hire 😅, it's the big ol' dark blue building with "CCco Interiors" on the outside. There's a map to the right and the address below. And some pictures too - you can't miss it!

It's easy to get to - see details on transport options below.
If you're struggling to find us on the day, you can call Yemi on 07528 732 101, and she'll ensure you get here.

Probably the easiest option. From Liverpool Lime St, take any Wirral Line train to Hamilton Square and walk (0.7 miles), or any Chester/Ellesmere Port train to Birkenhead Central and walk (0.3 miles).

Busses from Liverpool to Wirral leave from Sir Thomas Street in the city centre. Take the 437, 464, or 471 straight through the tunnel.
Easiest to get off at Birkenhead Bus Station (or Hamilton Street if you're on the 464). From there, it's a short, straightforward walk to the venue.

There’ll be no shortage of parking at the venue.
From North and East Via Liverpool:
Take the Birkenhead Tunnel ("Queensway"; small toll) from Liverpool. Leaving tunnel take the A41 (straight ahead), go all the way around roundabout where Wickes is, and then take Tunnel Road (left fork) to Jackson Street via Borough Rd East
From South: Fo

From South: Follow M53 exiting Junction 3. Take first exit at roundabout onto A552 (Woodchurch Road) towards Birkenhead/Town Centre.
Continue straight onto Borough Road (A552) for ~2 miles. As you approach the town centre flyovers, follow signs for the A41/Chester Street, turning left onto Jackson Street just under the flyover.
(And if you were born after 1980, just put 1 Jackson Street Birkenhead in your SatNav.)

Closest airport is Liverpool John Lennon. If no convenient flights to there, go for Manchester International Airport. Make your way to Liverpool (train/bus), and follow the "Train" or "Bus" guidance to left

There are a ton of hotels in Liverpool, which is literally like 5 mins away on the train. There's also a Premier Inn here in Birkenhead (woo!) about 2 minutes' walk from the venue. Neither of us have ever been inside it, nor do we know much about it.... but it has 4.3 stars on Google Reviews (n=893), so it should be totally fine.

If you want to get an Airbnb or something, feel free to get in touch with us first if you have any questions about a given area etc.
We realise most of you are travelling from out of town. If anyone is looking to save a bit of money on accommodation, we can probably find space for you on a sofa somewhere—just get in touch!
Expect any/all of the following: dancing, drinking, eating, merriment...
Some key info about the day:
Food & Drink: There'll be grazing tables for snacking throughout the day, a standing hot buffet at meal time, and more nibbles later on. Let us know if any specific dietary requirements (other than vegan - plenty of that) and we'll do what we can to sort you out. You can also bring anything yourself if feel like it.
There'll be plenty of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) provided throughout the day, but do feel free to bring anything specific you want - there's no corkage, and there should be somewhere to keep things cool.
Venue & access: We'll mostly be indoors, but there will be something set up outside for when you need some air.
Note 1: The main hall is one flight of stairs with no lift access. Do let us know if any accessibility needs and we'll see what we can do.
Note 2: There are 2 toilets inside and 2 portable ones outside (in the parking area).
Photos: Feel free to take your own photos and share them with us!
Music: There'll be some pleasant live music earlier in the day around the ceremony stuff, and a ceilidh from 7:30/8pm onwards, followed by a disco. Please do feel free to send over a couple of song requests in advance.
Dress code: The sort of thing you'd wear to a summer wedding that doesn't have a dress code. (If anyone is super keen to match the decor, it'll probs be kinda pastel colour, especially green pastel) Most importantly, you'll definitely want comfortable shoes for the Ceilidh.
Kids: There'll be a kids' corner to keep the weans entertained, and a designated quiet room for some power naps if needed (get in touch for more on this). Just a heads-up that it will probably get quite noisy later in the evening.
On-day point of contact: For any assistance on the day, you can speak to our wonderful coordinator, Yemi (07528 732 101). She’ll be on hand to help with anything and ensure everything runs smoothly!

Despite obviously being incredibly well-organised — as demonstrated by how spectacularly late* invitations were— there’s a chance we’ve forgotten to include something important above.
Let us know what inevitably remains unclear and we'll update the below.
*Genuinely sorry about this 🙏
Back in January we had a wedding celebration in Viet Nam so Phương's family could be there with us. This big one in July is our UK celebration — so you haven’t missed it!
Great question! A lot of fun things to do! We'll add a dedicated section here in the coming days.
Note: If you fancy something less fun, we'll likely be at the venue the day before and after the event to dress up and down the venue - feel free to join us!
Honestly we have no good excuse. Yes, it’s all a bit ridiculous, and probably unhelpful. We are truly sorry, and will try to make up for it...
Lol, as soon as possible really — we'll try to reach out to everyone in the coming couple of weeks for a chat, but appreciate life is complex and it may be longer before people can be certain.
“KAY-lee” (/ˈkeɪli/)
It comes from a Gaelic word for a visit, gathering, or social event.
Basically, a big fun dance to live traditional Gaelic folk music.
Don't worry at all if it's not something you've done before. There'll be an experienced "caller" at the front who explains how it all works for each dance. It's super easy to join in and not at all formal — you're in for a treat.

Phương Bích Trần and Ewan Morgan Tomeny, similar to now really.
